This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 28, 2008:
This past weekend, I went to a three day integral workshop on Bringing Love into Community: transforming integral theory into a compassionate vehicle. Saturday I woke up grieving for a dear friend who had passed over in February from a drug relapse (after 10 years sober), and it stayed with me all day. I took this opening energy (as grief and tears are often an opening experience) and went for a hike to a very sacred place nearby where his ashes are scattered. After walking a few miles in the red rock desert, the grief opened up to play and I began running and climbing all over the sandstone formations my friend had loved so much. It was the perfect place to return to play and pour out the grief through my running, skipping feet. :)
